GAIA — The Anthropocene — and Spiral Dynamics
The Planet is turquoise…
What is Spiral Dynamics?
Spiral Dynamics is a method designed by American management consultant Don Beck based on the work of American psychologist Clare W. Graves and later Ken Wilber. It is a theory about the development of human mind sets, world beliefs or value systems. Spiral Dynamics believes that people are capable of coping with their problems, addressing environmental changes with a strategy, and reshaping their world in ever-changing concepts, depending on the context. And vice versa, the environment adapts again and again to the changing people. We experience these changes as a general attitude to life, as a culture or as a general worldview. Each new model thus includes all previous models. This means that each new whole is the part of an emerging newer whole. We are evolving constantly and holistically.
