How to free our mind through stillness …
… and why do we need it anyhow?
Maybe you know these times, when you find yourself influenced by countless voices in your head. At times, you find yourself in a rather reacting state of being. . Maybe you feel stiff in your body and are visited by pain from time to time. The numerous signs of physical tenseness let you behave in a reactive caution. Maybe you can tune into the feeling of tightness through this restlessness. Life might feel like a prison sometimes. We have so many appointments scheduled, that your crowded space outside of you gives you no chance to really explore or to experience the room inside of you.
In these times, we are stressed out, imbalanced and unsatisfied beings. We do not act from our insides. We try to react to the world around us in order to survive somehow. We believe, that the only way to overcome this state of being is to go on, work harder, think bigger, react faster.
And even though we understand what Mahatma Gadhi said the other day, “Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny,” we disconnect more and more from our inner selves. We fall into the vicious cycle of working hard, thinking big and reacting fast.
