Explanation beforehand: “The hut is on fire” (“Die Hütte brennt”) is a German expression for when we find ourselves in a threatening, difficult not any longer controllable situation.
Dear human friend.
It is 1982 and the young me has her first week at school. We have a task to solve in a short amount of time. I am stressed out, want to be the first to finish and on top, to solve it right. All of a sudden, I heat up and inside of me over 100 trillion cells put my innermost hut on fire. 100 trillion cells are spinning around with excitement, because they are as well on their peak of stress to serve me in my wish to succeed. I, little Julia, am in fear of failure. I can hardly breathe, have forgotten how to speak, and the heartbeat is about to collapse! Death by hmmmmmm, what exactly would have been written on the tombstone? Never mind. I survived. What felt like a vertical transformation to the young me, that was rather the horizontal widening of the worldview from my little eyes.
It is 1990 and the still young me has her first date with some guy. Not only do things go crazy on the outside of me, but much more drastically, the over 100 trillion cells provide me with a complete burning inner hut. 100 trillion cells are spinning around with excitement, because they are as well on the…
