The Song of Mother Earth.
The Dance of Phoenix and Dragon. (from Gaia’s Dream)
Early artefacts in China show the Phoenix (Feng) and the Dragon (Long) intimately dancing with each other. They always are shown as extremes, either as enemies or as blissful lovers. Legends say that the Feng has the head of a pheasant and the tail of a peacock. She sings the most enchanting melody ever; and inscribed on her body are the Five Cardinal Virtues. Feng is considered to be bringing good fortunes and visions. Long (Dragon, East, Water) and Feng (Phoenix, South, Fire) are complete opposites and legends speak of their angry clashes as well as their magnetic love.
