The story of a soul.
The final lesson — just be.
“Are you ready for the next lesson?” the teacher asked. Then he looked upon the invisible chart on the wall. His stick touched the wall and words appeared out of nowhere. ‘Letting go’ popped up first. “No.” the teacher said. Then came others. ‘Trust.’, ‘Love’, ‘Compassion’, ‘Faith’, “No. no. no.” he said, he was looking for something that I had not yet learned. And then there came this term I had heard about before, and I was kind of frightened of. ‘Be’. “Yes,” the teacher seemed enlightened. “Be, child is the final lesson. You know, what that means, you are prepared. The lesson is to be learned in life. The challenges that come are going to be coherent with the strength you carry. And you are a strong soul. You know that. Remember one thing. Life plays hardball with you and in every stone in your way is a hidden treasure. You will need to face ‘Not-Being’ in order to learn the last lesson of ‘Being’. Just as always. You know, how this goes by now. You are challenged with the opposite. And Child, remember as well, if you support others in fulfilling their own lessons along the way, more and more will follow you into that last, that final lesson. Of being.” “Teacher,” I wanted to know. “What comes after the final lesson?” I was curious. The teacher shook his head. “You are not supposed to ask, you ought to trust.” He said. “A lesson you have already learned, I assume.” “What about you?” I then asked. “Why are YOU still here?” He smiled. “I failed that last lesson.” He said. “I would not want to allow ‘Not-Being’ to find me. Now I am here, supporting the brave of us to take the first steps, to go into the unknown, and to take us with them at one point. You are one of the first I send in this final task. Now go. Enjoy. And stay brave.”
This is all I can remember from the place I was in before I woke up in that human body. Inside of a little naked, bloody smelling creature. The next lesson. What was that I was in? By now I know, we call it human being. I know now, that there was me with some kind of physical material around me. This was supposed to be a body and a mind. I needed to understand, what the structures were meant for. And — once again — I started to humbly learn how to live. Moving, thinking, communicating, adapting to the world I was born into. This time my task was Not Being as Human Being in order to treasure Being.
Dear soulmates in human friends.
We are all souls in bodies with minds. We are in this together. And we are so lucky to have these opportunities to learn. It is by the time to humbly and gratefully embrace that beautiful life we are gifted with. We can be thankful for every experience of fear. It gave us courage. We can be thankful for any moment of sadness. It brought us joy. We can be thankful for every loss we have gone through. It showed us how to let go with ease and that we own nothing but the moment. We can be thankful for every anger we encounter, for we learn unconditional love here.
Once we learn the significance of being by understanding the insignificance of being, the final lesson is learned.
Beautiful it is. To be. To love. To trust. To enjoy life.
On my path to Not-Being I bow to you.
