The spiritual path to enlightenment, what exactly is it? And what happens if I follow it? Or, if not? Does it actually make a difference? And if so, what would this difference be like? And what if, as others like to say, the path, the way to the goal, already IS the goal? Should I then bother at all? Have I not reached enlightenment the moment I started walking the path? And why would I then orient myself on the influencing voices from around me who tell me about the path from their perspectives instead of just trusting into my own inner voice, that already knows the path — or IS the path, IS the light?
In the ancient tradition, we talk about THE path and describe it as the true spiritual path to enlightenment. The path of ultimate wisdom. The path into the light. One path — something not changeable. And yet, when we look closer, this cannot be, for there is not one path on earth that is steady and forever unchanged. Because there is not one path that is walked on in the same manner by two different individuals.
Looking closer, when one walks a path first, another one can tell very little about it, it might be difficult to be perceived, there are only some almost invisible signs marking the way. If another follows, the path…
